polishing a golden oldie

today i started demoing an old song, "tonight, sometimes", but way different than previous versions... casio drums, sick bassline, dub style almost. stoked about the way it's coming along.. really just needs real drums, and lots of feedback and stuff for a big ending... which brings me to these...



which i'll be picking up tomorrow. old 60s jap kit, but all fixed up. i've already heard them, and they sound great...

on july 4th, i went to a flea market, and found another gem, which i practically stole. i've been working with this thing a bit already, and this changes everything. sounds sooooo good.



vintage altec 1220 board. this thing has great pres, a sick compressor, and great reverb.. things have been lookin' up.. let's keep this up.

the universe has been a goddamn motherfucker to me lately, and i don't wanna speak too soon, but it looks like things are finally starting to turn around for the better.

this river has reversed it's flow. i'm momentarily ceasing to fight the current. float on.

idea # 3 billion

thinking about doing a really limited run ep to be released only on cassette.. possibly a buncha covers of some of my favorite old country songs. just an idea for now, but definitely something that could happen sooner than later...
